  • Missionary: a person sent on a religious mission, especially one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country or one that is not their own

  • Evangelist: A person with the gift of evangelism is often someone who travels from place to place to preach the gospel and call for repentance

  • Matthew 24:14  “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come”

  • Luke 24:47 “repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem”

What the Bible

teaches us about

  • Mission brings the message of salvation through Christ to all ethnic groups so that they have the opportunity to become new creatures in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17)

We are to continue the work of Jesus.

  • “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21

  • "The Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." Luke 19:10

  • "To destroy the Devil's work" 1 John 3:8

  • "preach Good News to the poor...free the prisoners...release the oppressed" Luke 4:18

  • "Por tanto, id, y haced discípulos a todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo." Mateo 28:19

We are: Ambassadors of Christ

  • "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us" 2 Corinthians 5:20

What WE do: Bring the message of salvation of Christ to another people, so that they can be reborn.

  • In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again" John 3:3

What is our role as

His servants?

We ALL are

called by God.

God picked you.

  • Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" Matthew 28:28, 20.

Missionary work brings new worshippers to Him "from every nation, tribe, people, and language" Rev. 7:9-10
